A little bit of magenta, a little bit of white, and a scalloped dupatta in between: That’s how Shraddha Kapoor dressed for her ramp appearance at Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017.

The lehenga Kapoor wore had – wait for it – *monsoon crane* embroidery. Along with an adequately embroidered muga silk magenta blouse. The dupatta, as you can see, has scalloped edges, and comes in chintz fabric. What do you think – is it a look that will be embroidered in your memory?

Thank God For No Gaudy Lehengas

The good thing is the lehengas aren’t gaudy here – they are all about subtle handloom. There are also kirkita palazzos, kamal jaal lehengas and easy-on-the-eyes-colours like yellow, coral, fuchsia and orange.

Mishra’s go-to textiles – Chanderis, Maheshwaris, and Banarasi – feature chirping birds, kamal, genda and mogra along with hints of Mughal architectural inspirations.

Simple Makeup #IAlmostWokeUpLikeThis

For a traditional collection, the makeup was kept quite simple, with soft nude lips that highlight the natural features of the face.

Project Eve, the retail chain from Reliance Retail, teamed up with Mishra to create the 'Rahul Mishra for Project Eve' collection. Do the looks make you feel adequately handloomed?
