It’s festive season, and what better than receiving some fashion gyaan from well-known fashionistas!

At the Amazon India Fashion Week 2017, The Quint caught up with designers and model turned actor Milind Soman to help you sift through the trends this season and pick your Diwali/festive attire.

Designer Pallavi Mohan, a stickler for bold, flowery prints is of the opinion that checks should make their way out of our wardrobes:

Checks are long gone, we must look at drapes, shrugs and lots of fringing! Bead work fringing and macrame fringing are an absolute essential this season!

Designer Rimzim Dadu, however, argues that stripes and checks are classic designs that never go out of style!

Checks and stripes are classics. Metallic work is the new entrant this season. It is definitely here to stay. 

Actor-Model Milind Soman lauds the idea behind athletic and leisure wear fusion.

I like the whole athleisure look. I think it is sporty and cheek.
