Surf Excel Pakistan's #NekiEkIbadat

After a successful ad campaign of 2016 titled #MadadEkIbadat, Surf Excel Pakistan has yet again come up with a beautiful ad campaign – #NekiEkIbadat. The ad conveys a beautiful message of how our little selfless acts can bring joy to others. The ad shows how a little boy goes out of the way to bring suhoor (meal consumed early in the morning by Muslims before fasting) for an elderly uncle before having his own meal. The ad is a perfect example of helping others before self!

Shan Foods Pakistan's 'Food opens the door to our hearts'

This ad co-created by Ogilvy India and Ogilvy Pakistan for Shan Foods, Pakistan’s biggest brand of spices is a perfect example of love defying borders. The ad shot in Pakistan, opens with a Chinese couple struggling to adjust and make friends in an alien country. The ad then shows the wife preparing biryani for her neighbours to break the ice. Taken aback by her cooking skills, the ladies of the neighbourhood welcome her with open arms. The ad showcases an inclusive society, free from linguistic, geographic and cultural barriers.

Pepsi Pakistan's Liter of Light 2017

Reliance Fresh's #ChhotiSiAchhai

Reliance Fresh’s ad campaign promoted with a tag #ChhotiSiAchhai shows a little boy, who hasn’t been allowed to keep Roza by his mother because he is too small. He however, decides to spend his day by bringing a chocolate for his sister, helping an elderly man with his heavy bag, buying his grandmother a packet of dates from his own pocket money and finally helping his mother prepare the traditional fast breaking meal. The video subtly conveys that Ramzan is not all about fasting, but also the little deeds of goodness.

Hamdard Pakistan's Ramzan Mubarak

Hamdard Pakistan’s Rooh Afza commercial teaches all to appreciate and value the little things in life. It’s all about spreading kindness and inculcating good values. The ad shows the beautiful bond of a grandfather teaching the art of giving to his grandson. The ad is a reminder to all that little acts of kindness go a long way!

Zain Kuwait’s ‘Love not Terror’

A three-minute video from Zain, a Kuwait based telecommunications company, received mixed reactions from public. The advertisement features a suicide bomber being haunted by a child’s voice, who says, “I will tell God everything. That you've filled the cemeteries with our children and emptied our school desks”. While some have praised the video for delivering the true message of Islam, others have condemned it for its apparent reference to Omran Daqneesh, Syria’s airstrike survivor, who has been portrayed as a terror attack victim.

Let this Eid be an occasion to spread happiness and joy. Get some inspiration from these ad campaigns and indulge in an act of kindness. Your little gestures can make people feel incredibly loved!
