Gandhinagar, July 4 (IANS) A day after defecting from the Congress and joining the BJP in Gujarat, Kunwarji Bavalia took charge as Minister of Water Resources, Animal Husbandry and Rural Housing Development on Wednesday.
Bavalia, MLA from Jasdan constituency, took oath as a Minister in the Vijay Rupani cabinet on Tuesday in presence of Governor O.P. Kohli.
After the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the Bharatiya Janata Party government entrusted him with the Water Resources, Animal Husbandry and Rural Housing Development departments.
Meanwhile, the BJP said Parbatbhai Patel will hold the charge of Minister of State for Water Resources (independent charge) and Water Supply.
