Feisty feminists – men and women – across 20 Indian cities marched in solidarity on 21 January.

The "I will go out” march was aimed at encouraging women to reclaim their access to public spaces, while subverting the long patriarchal legacy of violence against women – especially in light of the recent Bengaluru molestations.

The Quint joined the march in New Delhi. Here are the voices we heard on the ground.

'I Will Go out Because... It's My Right’ - Bhani Rachel

'I Will Go out Because... It's Linked to Everything I Do' - Archana Kaul

While we were on ground, we spoke to a newspaper vendor, Sanjay Kumar, who couldn’t make it to the march but extended his support nevertheless. Here’s his take on women’s rights.
