Britain’s Prince William has said he would "fully support" his child if they came out as gay.
Speaking ahead of the Pride parade in London, William expressed his support towards the community, while at the same time adding that he would be “worried” about society’s reaction and the barriers and prejudices his kids would have to face because of their identity.
William was asked the hypothetical question as he was visiting a U.K. charity that works with LGBTQ youths who are homeless or live in hostile environments.
Asked about “how would he react” if any of his three children — 5-year-old Prince George, 4-year-old Princess Charlotte and year-old Prince Louis — one day came out as gay, William said it would be "obviously absolutely fine by me."
Many on Twitter are praising the Royal for the statement he gave at the charity event.
From calling him a truly modern Royal, to an important ally for the LGBTQIA community, the reactions were overwhelmingly positive as people reacted to the news.
What would you say to your child if they came out as gay or transgender?
