If you ever planked for more than even 40 seconds and are very proud of yourself, maybe you should stop, introspect and look at this woman for some inspiration.
A new World Record has been set by Dana Glowacka, a fitness enthusiast from Montreal, Canada. In her Instagram post, she revealed that she held a plank for an astonishingly long duration of 4 hours and 20 minutes! This is the longest a woman has ever planked in consistency and no matter how unbelievable it sounds, it is miraculously true.
However, this record by Glowacka is no miracle. It is a result of her persistence and hard work. She set this record on May 18 at First International Plank Training Conference in Naperville.
She dedicates this achievement to her son who, as she told, believes that she can do better and thus, keeps her motivated. For men, however, the record has been set by Mao Weidong from China who planked continuously for eight hours and one minute.
Glowacka, with her steel abs, is setting records and winning hearts. We look up to this woman of strong will for some inspiration to reduce our hopeless flabs.
