A seven-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped in Lucknow’s Ashiyana area on Thursday. The unknown rapist left the girl at the spot, a stone's throw away from Ashiyana police station. The police said that passersby saw her and informed the family members.
She was found in a critical condition with blood oozing out of her body and was immediately rushed to KGMU hospital.
The incident took place on Thursday evening when the minor girl was playing outside her house. An unidentified person lured her with toffees, took her to a secluded place and raped her, said police officials.
Worried when she didn’t return home after a few hours, the rape survivor’s parents immediately lodged a complaint with the Aashiyana police station after which the girl was found in an unconscious state.
Circle Officer, Cantt, Avanish Mishra told The Times of India that the girl had suffered serious injuries which indicate that she was sexually assaulted before being dumped. An FIR has been registered in the case, according to the police.
