Please eat more fruits. They are the best way to ensure multiple antioxidants and essential minerals and vitamins that our body needs, along with the necessary for the gut fibre.

Another brilliant benefit of eating plenty of fruits is that as they are naturally sweet, and so they help cut down sweet cravings naturally.

Just add 2-3 fruits in your daily diet, and you’ll feel the difference within a few days.

One underrated and lesser known use of fruits is that they make perfect desserts with just a little effort. And fabulous replacements for those high calorie, trans fat and preservatives laden heavy desserts.

Let’s remedy that with some smart solutions and recipes!

Easy, Smart Tricks

Fruit is a great sweet treat, but to makes it seem more like dessert and less like something you should be eating, you could try these tricks:

  1. Drizzle a bit of honey over mixed (watermelon and musk) melon balls
  2. Blend bananas and strawberries, freeze into cubes, and eat like ice cream
  3. Sauté half a banana for a minute or so and sprinkle with one tablespoon chopped nuts
  4. Before you bite into a pear or apple, sprinkle a bit of honey and any roasted seeds over them to make them more filling (and crunchy)
  5. Pair chopped apples with some feta cheese.
  6. Grill the grapes or a banana. They get caramelised and taste great.
  7. Stew fruits (perfect for pears).

Quarter the fruit, sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg powder, add fresh ginger, some jaggery or honey, then place in a pan with just enough water to cover.

Bring to a boil and then simmer covered, for about fifteen minutes.

Turn the fruit occasionally. Eat as is , or mix with some yoghurt or granola.
