In the build up to the second International Yoga Day, people around the world joined in early celebrations on Saturday and Sunday.

21 June is the official date, and in 2015, people from 84 nations participated in the event.

China

The celebrations were held at Wuxi Hollywood Studios in the southern Jiangsu province of China. Nearly 3,500 yoga lovers from Wuxi participated in the event.

Australia

Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia held the yoga day celebrations on Sunday, as part of the Bondi Winter Magic Festival.

Ireland

Around 400 people gathered in Dartmouth park in Dublin to mark the beginning of the Yoga day celebrations.

The event was organised by the Indian Embassy in Ireland with Yoga Therapy Ireland and other organisations.
