Wonder how beauty pageant winners and models attain and maintain that enviable fitness levels? No, it’s not by starving themselves. At least not for Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar.
Leading up to the pageant, the 20-year-old from Haryana followed a dedicated workout routine and diet regime. She makes sure to workout at least four or five times in a week wherever she is. Apart from that, she swears by having a balanced diet which includes plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Celebrity nutritionist Nmami Agarwal, who planned Manushi’s diet and nutrition intake, shared her tips with The Quint. Here’s what a sample diet of the Miss World looks like:
She says skipping a meal or intermittent fasting will do no good. You have to maintain a healthy relationship with your body, eat healthy and in appropriate amounts.
Nmami added that smoothies are a delicious way to quash hunger pangs. They’re full of dietary fat, nutrients and calcium and keep one hydrated for long.
Manushi was also suggested some strategic lifestyle changes that can impact one’s health tremendously. She follows five simple but effective mantras:
A lot of travelling is involved in a profession like modelling. So, people tend to order restaurant food while travelling but Manushi still stuck to healthy dietary choices, and you should too.
Order foods such as grilled chicken or fish and avoid having a creamy sauce along with it. Instead of a main course, opt for an appetiser. Always order a salad along with your meal, but choose only low fat dressings.
Yes, a beauty pageant contestant has many people at her disposal to take care of her health but at the end it’s the individual who has to follow it. So, if you make up your mind, you can follow these healthy eating habits too and have a fit body!
