The AQI numbers a few days before Diwali in Delhi and Kolkata continued to show a dip, with PM2.5 levels in very unhealthy range. Delhi recording an AQI of 179 PM 2.5 levels and Kolkata was at 174. On the other hand, the air quality of Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai remained in the moderate category. A day after elections, Mumbai was breathing air with 80 PM 2.5 levels.
