Somatheeram is located on the Chowara Beach, spread over a 15 acre campus, and is surrounded by lush greenery – sounds like a perfect setting for Ayurveda therapy, along with the rejuvenation of the mind and body. From therapies focusing on body purification to stress management programme, to the much revered Panchakarma therapy to Rasayana Chikilsa, they have it all covered.
But of course, all that upliftment of the body and soul doesn’t come cheap. A seven-day stay at Somatheeram will cost you anything between Rs 65,000 to a couple of lakhs, depending on the type of room and the season you are visiting in, with May to September being the cheapest, while December to Februray being the costliest.

Located in Palakkad district of Kerala, Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resort offers several ‘Ayurveda and Yoga & Pilgrimage Packages’ with an aim to restore health and wellbeing among people weighed down by the exigencies of life.
Specialised packages, as per individual medical needs, are one of the many USPs of the place. A third generation Ayurveda health center, Sarovaram is located on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake in Kerala. If you want all those holistic benefits without burning a hole in your pocket, this might be a good pick for you.
Rooms cost somewhere around Rs 3,000 per night, including breakfast. You can also choose the programmes you want to sign up for from a range of available packages. Charges are extra, but they too fall under the economical category.

Situated on the outskirts of Kerala backwaters, Athreya is unlike other Ayurveda resorts. The focus of the doctors here, who happen to be the fifth-generation practitioners, is solely on imparting authentic Ayurveda experience. The centre also houses one of the only three kutee huts in India, which are constructed for those undergoing the Ayurveda process of Kutee Praveshika Rasayana. Athreya comprises of “16 guest cottages built in traditional Kerala wooden architecture.”
