The wife of the shooter, Omar Mateen who carried out a deadly attack in an Orlando club was arrested in connection to the incident, on Monday. Noor Salman was taken into custody by FBI agents on charges of obstructing investigation.
Shortly after Omar Mateen had killed 49 people at Pulse - a gay club on 12 June, investigators interviewed Noor and came to believe that she was not telling the truth about her husband’s plans. She had told the investigators that she tried to stop her husband from carrying out the attack.
She is expected to make an initial appearance Tuesday in federal court in San Francisco, The New York Times reported.
