Mumbai Rapper Vivian Fernandes aka Divine thought it was an honor for him to be on BBC Radio for a show. But, boy, was he in for a surprise! When Divine’s own hero, Charlie Sloth, who hosts the popular show ‘Fire in the Booth’ on BBC appeared on the show to throw beats at him, Divine was speechless. But not for long!
Divine, who comes from a humble background raps in Hindi using local slangs and everyday happenings of the common people. He believes his words connect with every Indian, no matter what their background.
Although, Charlie did not understand Divine, he enjoyed how quick the rapper picked up the beats and set the booth on fire with his prowess! He did freestyle and spit bars as Charlie threw beats at him which he had never heard before.
