Johan Abraham and Varun Dhawan-starrer Dishoom is getting above average reviews and the buddy cop movie promises to be an entertainer if nothing else. However, Pakistan doesn’t think so. According to reports, the Pakistan censor board denied the film a theatrical release in the country thereby technically banning the film. Apparently the board felt that the usage of certain words including ‘Pakistan’ and ‘ISI’ was inappropriate.

Varun Dhawan expressed his unhappiness over the ban via Twitter:

Really upset that #Dishoom is banned in pakistan. I don’t think the film eventually shows any country in a bad light. It’s a wrong decision
Varun Dhawan (Twitter)

Varun’s brother, Rohit Dhawan is the director of the film and in a business where every penny counts, losing out the Pakistani market will be a setback.
