Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s jibe about teaching a lesson to “an actor”, who was “arrogant” enough to feel insecure in the country, has got Twitter up in arms against the politician. Parrikar confessed to endorsing “an online trading company” in a very thinly veiled reference to an eight-month old remark made by Aamir Khan.
Parrikar admitted to having “smart teams” that were to teach Snapdeal a lesson, by asking people to order and return merchandise from the site.
Celebrities and common people on Twitter stood by Aamir Khan, calling out the Defence Minister’s comments.
People were quick to point out his stance on the actor but not talking about the defence situation in Kashmir that has left countless injured after unprecedented violence gripped the state in July.
