MTV Roadies Rising Has a Winner, It’s Shweta Mehta from Haryana

Shweta Mehta is happy about living up to Neha Dhupia’s expectations.

Shweta Mehta - belonging to Neha Dhupia’s gang on MTV’s Roadies Rising is the winner of this season of the reality show. She emerged winner after beating Baseer Ali from Prince Narula’s team.

Haryana based 28-year-old Shweta is an engineer and was working at an IT company in Bangalore before she began to follow her passion for fitness and body building. She won the Jerai Women’s Fitness Model Championship in 2016 before entering Roadies Rising.

I had auditioned for ‘Roadies’ thrice in the past, but did not make it to the show. But failing thrice did not dampen my spirits. I took the challenge head-on and auditioned again, only with the intention of winning the show. And I did win it.

According to reports, Shweta has already started getting feelers from the entertainment industry but she is keen on focussing on her passion - fitness, at the moment.

Speaking to the press after her win, Shweta said that she was thrilled about living up to Neha Dhupia’s expectations.

This definitely feels amazing. ‘Roadies’ is a cult show and being associated with such a show and winning it feels out of the world. Neha ma’am wanted a girl to win this season and I feel proud that I didn’t disappoint her.
