Shweta Mehta From Gang Neha Wins Renault MTV Roadies Rising

For those who do not know, Shweta had auditioned for Roadies X1 as well.

This year Renault MTV Roadies Rising in its fourteenth season was centered around bringing alive the warrior within the contestants! The theme resonated with the show’s name, focusing on rising from one’s ashes and fighting the inner demons.

This time, reliving history and the valiant battles, Roadies commenced their journey from Jhansi followed by Gwalior, Agra, Amroha, Panipat, culminating at the ultimate battleground – Kurukshetra.

Gang members from Rannvijay Singha, Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula and Nikhil Chinappa’s gangs fought tooth and nail for the coveted title, but, Shweta Mehta, a member from Neha Dhupia’s gang emerged as winner of Renault MTV Roadies Rising.

Shweta who is from Haryana, got selected in her auditions at Chandigarh when she surprised everyone by doing squats with Harbhajan mounted on her shoulders. For those who do not know, Shweta had auditioned for Roadies X1 as well.

She didn’t get selected then and went on to become a Bikini Fitness Athlete and represented India in the Asian Championship as well. Not just that, Shweta has done her BTech in IT and is a state level dancer as well.

Like a true warrior, Shweta put up a strong fight throughout the season and rightfully emerged triumphant. She has proved her mettle time and again, highlighting the fact that nothing can stop a woman from excelling at any given task.

After being declared winner, an exhilarated Shweta said, “I had auditioned for Roadies thrice in the past but did not make it to the show. But failing thrice did not dampen my spirit. I took the challenge head-on and auditioned again, only with the intention of winning the show. And I did win it! This definitely feels amazing. Roadies is a cult show and being associated with such a show and winning it feels out of the world. Neha ma’am wanted a girl to win this season and I feel proud that I didn’t disappoint her.”

Shweta has proved to be a perfect mix of beauty, brains and spirit. She is a lovely example for all the young girls out there to follow their dreams and be fearless. Hoping to see a lot more girls take inspiration from Renault MTV Roadies Rising winner, Shweta Mehta!
