Netflix is clearly keen on expanding its Indian repertoire. After announcing Sacred Games with Saif Ali Khan, they are now gearing up for two more Indian original series. And they have got their hands on the two themes that are sure to capture their audience’s imagination - cricket and crime.

Man Booker-winning author Aravind Adiga’s latest coming-of-age tale Selection Day lends itself to the perfect series, revolving as it does around a young boy aiming to get selected into Mumbai’s under-19 team under the eyes of a cricket-obsessed father. The second series, Again, is penned by Quantico writer Marisha Mukherjee, and has a woman homicide detective as its protagonist. It will be set in New Delhi.
