TV actor Mohit Abrol has claimed that his Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts were hacked with the intent to defame his former fiancee Manasi Srivastava. On 29 July, a post shared on his Instagram page, which claimed that he tried to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills after learning of Mansi’s alleged affair, went viral. It claimed that Mansi had cheated on him with her Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se co-star Arhaan Behl. "I got up after three days in the ICU and you were not even there... I'm proud that I survived whatever you did to me but karma isn't so kind you will get what you deserve not now but you will," the now deleted post read.

Mohit then shared a statement on his Instagram page claiming that his account had been hacked. “Someone wanted to defame Mansi and made a bad story. I’m really saddened and disgusted by the person who did it. I’m launching a police complaint about the same,” he wrote. However, the post was later deleted. He also requested the media to retract their stories which reported his alleged suicide attempt.

Mohit Abrol made his TV debut as Anuj in Balika Vadhu. He has also appeared on shows such as Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne, MTV Fanaah and Porus. He was in an eight-year relationship with actor Mansi Srivastava who is best known for playing Bhavya Pratap Rathore in Ishqbaaz and Lavanya in Divya Drishti.
