Bhumi describes to Karan how people often come up to her and express surprise at the fact that she is fluent in English. They assume that she is from a small town judging by the conviction with which she has played in films such as Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
Not only is Rajkummar Rao a trained martial artist but the actor reveals to Karan that he’s won multiple gold medals at the national level too! Maybe one day he’s surprise us by putting those skills to good use and starring in a masala action flick.
Before getting her big screen break in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bhumi worked as an assistant casting director for Yash Raj Films. Over the course of her career, she has auditioned several Bollywood celebs including Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon and Disha Patani. When Karan quizzes her about what their early auditions were like, Bhumi candidly admits that she thought Disha was “kachcha” initially while she thought Parineeti nailed it. Rajkummar, she says, was “okay”.
There are no points for guessing which co-star Rajkummar admits to falling for. He slyly answers Karan saying it’s his CityLights co-star... who happens to be his long-time girlfriend Patralekhaa. Is marriage on the cards for the couple? “I still feel like a kid. Mentally I’m not ready to get married,” Rajkummar admits. “We’re very happy and our parents are happy — they’re not complaining,” he adds. Looks like wedding bells will have to wait for now.
