After Sara Ali Khan confessed to wanting to date Kartik Aaryan (and marry Ranbir Kapoor) during her appearance on Koffee With Karan, Kartik finally got a chance to respond to her from the Koffee couch as well.
The actor recently made his debut on the talk show alongside his Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon. When Karan asked him whether he would date Sara, Kartik admitted that he would ask her out as soon as he earns enough money. "She is a princess. So, you know, to ask her out on a date, I would require a certain bank balance," he said.
Earlier, Saif Ali Khan had cheekily commented that Kartik was free to date his daughter as long as he was wealthy. Kartik also denied rumours about his alleged romances with Ananya Panday and Shraddha Kapoor.
During the episode, Kartik and Kriti also spoke of their struggle to make it in Bollywood. Kartik revealed that he chose to study in an engineering college in Mumbai with a flexible schedule so he could attend auditions. He completed his education after Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 on his mother’s insistence.
Kriti studied engineering as well but found her calling as an actor after appearing in a few ads. While Bareilly Ki Barfi put her in the limelight, Kriti said that since then, most roles she has been offered are that of a small-town girl. She expressed an interest in exploring different kinds of roles, saying she could do as well as Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt were she given the chance.
