Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has been accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with him in his 2018 film Sanju. Hirani has categorically denied the allegation.
Lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar is the latest from the film fraternity to come to the director’s defence. He took to social media to comment on the matter.

On the occasion of Army Day, Sushant Singh Rajput took to social media to share a teaser from his upcoming film Rifleman, in which he will play a soldier. It is being Produced by Pooja Entertainment and Abundantia Entertainment and scheduled for release later in 2019. “An advancing enemy. A border to protect. 1 Braveheart. #RIFLEMAN. On the occasion of Army Day, excited to announce my next film,” he wrote in his post.

Farhan Akhtar has announced his next collaboration. Six years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the actor is all set to star in another sports drama, titled Toofan, a heartfelt story of a boxer. The film will be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
“Thrilled to share that 6 years after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, @rakeyshommehra and I are reuniting to create ‘Toofan’.. a heartfelt story of a boxer. Hope for your best wishes as we embark on this new journey. Love,” wrote Farhan on Twitter.

“Wink girl” Priya Prakash Varrier is set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film, Sridevi Bungalow, directed by Prasanth Mambully. The teaser of the film, released on 13 January, focuses on a star’s struggle with fame and loneliness.
In Sridevi Bungalow, Priya plays an actor allegedly modeled after the namesake.
The teaser appears to be a cheap tactic by the makers to grab eyeballs, and ends up disrespecting the late iconic actor’s memory. Many on social media are slamming the filmmaker for using Sridevi’s unfortunate death to sell their film.

Veteran writer-filmmaker Gulzar, who has made some critically-acclaimed movies during his tenure as a filmmaker, has praised the current generation of filmmakers, saying they are making really good films.
Gulzar was interacting with the media at the trailer launch of animated film "Goopi Gawaiyaa Bagha Bajaiyaan" along with film's director Shilpa Ranade on Tuesday in Mumbai.
