Twinkle Khanna, the ex-actor turned entrepreneur astonished everyone when she revealed a funny streak in her weekly column in a city newspaper. The column that earned many admirers in tinsel town and on social media, has just been turned into a book.
Come to think of it, there are many in the film industry who have the potential to whip up a book with the use of fanciful words. Purists may scoff, but we are not looking for literary ambition here.
SRK is a rare star who can take a volley of impromptu questions at a press conference and turn them into a funny banter. He is always ready for a battle of wits, provided you turn up in front of him, armed with words. A man of wit, he can just extend his tweets, and give us a book.
Since her debut in Dev D, she has appeared in numerous movies, wrote and produced plays, and above all, handled her personal crisis in front of the prying media with tremendous grace. Her monologue titled An Intense Piece about the Truths of Womanhood on Women’s Day was a remarkable discourse on gender issues. She would write a sensible book, we are sure of that.
The once unwanted actor held on to his stardom like no other star in the subcontinent and his never ending tale of tales, i.e., his blog is an oasis for his fans. Being the son of Harivansh Rai Bachchan, his oratory skills and wordly wise eminence comes as no surprise. There’s a series of books there, at one go.
Like Twinkle Khanna, no one expected Rishi Kapoor to be this irreverent. Without a doubt, he is the most fun Twitter account out of the yawn inducing megalomaniac herd of stars on social media. There is a cheeky writer hiding behind those tweets, catch him fast, dear publishers.
Before he faced the camera, he already gained followers as a writer, director and occasional lyricist. He also writes poetry in private. The grandson of Jan Nisar Akhtar, and the son of Javed Akhtar, composing a book would be child’s play for him.
