Telugu superstar Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni sprung a surprise on Tuesday when he donned the hat of an auto driver for a cause. He was seen driving an autorickshaw in Khammam, near Hyderabad to raise funds for a seven-year-old chronic kidney patient. Akhil volunteered to do his bit as part of an event organized by an NGO.

“When Akhil learnt about the boy’s condition, he immediately agreed to be part of the initiative. Scores of his fans gathered at the event to catch a glimpse of the young star despite always surrounded by his entourage and high security. Akhil spent about two hours taking random strangers for a spin in his auto and made some quick money, which he later donated to the organizers,” a source said.

Akhil made his acting debut last year in a film titled Akhil, which tanked at the box-office. Presently, he busy reading scripts for his next project and according to sources close to him, he’s not in a hurry to sign another project.
