1. ‘Padmaavat’ to Release Across India, B-Town Reacts to SC Verdict

After being banned by states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana despite clearance from CBFC with an U/A certificate and modifications, the producers of the Deepika Padukone-Shahid Kapoor-Ranveer Singh-starrer Padmaavat moved Supreme Court against the ban on Wednesday, 17 January.

Supreme Court stayed the notification by the states banning Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. The apex court gave a green signal to the film’s release on Thursday, 18 January.

2. Twinkle Khanna Is Taking ‘PadMan’ to Oxford University Students

Writer-producer Twinkle Khanna has been invited to speak at The Oxford Union, the world's most prestigious debating society.

The 43-year-old actor-turned-author will address the students of the Oxford University today, where she will also showcase her upcoming production, PadMan.

Based on the life of social entrepreneur and activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionised sanitary hygiene in rural India 20 years ago, the film stars Twinkle's husband actor Akshay Kumar in the title role.

4. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Backs ‘Padmaavat’, Says He ‘Loved’ the Movie

After a special screening at his ashram, the Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was all praises about the Deepika Padukone-Shahid Kapoor-Ranveer Singh-starrer Padmaavat.

In a big relief for the film, the Supreme Court stayed the notification of the state governments banning the film, today. The film is now set to be released across the country after being mired in controversies for a long time.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and Dil Juunglee is here to set the mood just right. Starring Taapsee Pannu, Saqib Saleem, Nidhi Singh, Abhilash Thapliyal and Srishti Shrivastava, the rom com looks like it’s going to be a fun ride.

The Dil Juunglee trailer promises a love story traversing between Delhi and London, and revolving around a rich nerdy girl and a not-so-polished boy. Add to that a bunch of madcap, OTT friends and some fun dialogues, and you might just have a fun film on your hands.
