After Theri’s 100 Cr. Success, Vijay Starts Filming for His Next

Enraptured by the super-hit success of Theri, which has already set foot in the coveted Rs 100 Crore club and is still running successfully in a good number of screens worldwide, superstar Vijay has swiftly moved on to the principal shooting of his next yet-untitled project, fondly called by fans as Vijay 60.

After the brief two-day shoot earlier this month, the team is all set to commence regular filming from May 2nd.

A grand set is being constructed in Binny Mills, one of Tamil cinema’s most frequented shooting locations. The team will kick-off with shoot of opening song, to be choreographed by Dinesh Master. Vijay and director Bharathan have been listening to composer Santhosh Narayanan’s tunes for the last one week, and have already finalized a track for the opening song. Santhosh, who scores for Vijay for the first time in his career, has been delivering a variety of tunes to understand the kind of tune Vijay delights in.

Bankrolled by Vijaya Productions, Vijay 60 features Keerthy Suresh of Rajini Murugan fame as the lead heroine. The film stars a bevy of impactful baddies including Daniel Balaji, Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu, Harish Uthaman and Sharath Lohithsawa of Pandianaadu fame. The makers have also assembled a formidable supporting cast including thespian YG Mahendran, Sriman, Aparna Vinod, Mime Gopi, Aadukalam Naren and comedian Sathish. The technical crew comprises of Praveen KL for editing, Sukumar for cinematography, Vairamuthu for lyrics, Anal Arasu for stunt choreography and Prabhakaran for art department.
