Shah Rukh Khan has been entertaining us for 23 long years! And there’s nothing he does better than that. What better day to remind ourselves of the few blunders he made in his career- super flops that even SRK couldn’t salvage! No offence meant to SRK fans out there, but here’s our favourite list of his films that you’ll love to hate!
Shah Rukh was already a star when he did this film in 1995. His 1992 debut with Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman was followed by one hit after another- Deewana (1992), Anjaam (1994) and many more. Then why did he agree to work in Guddu? Clearly, a bad call. Guddu with leading lady Manisha Koirala bombed majorly at the box office. If you’re an SRK fan, please do yourself a favour and skip this one.
We just watched this film (in fast forward) and arrived at the conclusion that Oh Darling Yeh Hai India is a complete MUST-NOT-WATCH. A wannabe satire on Bollywood, the film actually has nothing to do with Bollywood. The story is about a ‘Miss India’ played by Deepa Sahi and a struggling actor called Hero (now that’s new!) played by Shah Rukh Khan. And these two are trying to save the President! That makes no sense. One of the worst films ever!
If you’re a Salman fan and are loving this list, here’s something that you wouldn’t want to believe. Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam was so bad that SRK, Salman and Madhuri couldn’t save it. Is it even possible for a film to be bad with three supremely popular actors in it? Thank god this horribly stereotyped film bombed at the box office. Based on the typical pati, patni aur woh plot SRK plays a stupidly jealous husband and Salman is the harmless friend/lover. The film took 5 years to complete and its low production quality just killed it.
Right from horrendous make-up to bad acting, English Babu Desi Mem (1996) had the worst of it all. And SRK played a corny triple role in the film! What were you thinking Mr. Khan? This film was so bad that even three Shah Rukhs couldn’t save it.
If you haven’t discovered this SRK gem, Shah Rukh probably loves you! HE definitely doesn’t want anyone to have any memory of this one. What’s more surprising is that Zamaana Deewana (1995) was a Ramesh Sippy film! SRK romanced Raveena Tandon for the first time onscreen. Raveena’s dubbing was nothing short of annoying. The film was also featured legends like Shatrughan Sinha, Jeetendra, Prem Chopra.
