Sridevi, Vinod Khanna Honoured Posthumously at National Awards

The 65th National Awards were presented at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Thursday evening. While several award winners chose to skip the event because the President was giving awards to only 11 of the winners, the main awardees including recipients of the Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Music Director and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner were present at the ceremony. Both Sridevi and Vinod Khanna’s families were present to receive their awards.

Boney Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi receive the National Award for Best Actress for Sridevi from the President of India. 

Akshaye Khanna and Kavita Khanna receive the Dadasaheb Phalke award for Vinod Khanna from the President of India.

Filmmaker Rima Das received the National Award for her film Village Rockstars from the President.

AR Rahman receives the National Award for Best Music Director (Kaatru Veliyidai) and Best Background Score (Mom) from the President.

Divya Dutta receives the National Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film Irada from the I&B Minister Smriti Irani.
