Following his acclaimed debut in Bollywood with Aanand L Rai’s superhit romance drama Raanjhanaa, Dhanush has now completed shooting for an important cameo in Nimmo, Aanand’s upcoming production venture under his home banner Color Yellow, best known for bankrolling small gems like Nil Battey Sannata, Happy Bhaag Jayegi and co-producing Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Nimmo is directed by Rakul Shanklya and features child actor Karan Dave as the central protagonist, with a brief cameo by Dhanush.

Dhanush’s cameo plays an important role in the narrative. He took a short break from Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thota to shoot his portions in Mumbai last week, as soon as he arrived from Turkey.

Meanwhile, Amma Kanakku, which marks Dhanush’s second collaboration with Aanand and is an official Tamil remake of Hindi film Nil Battey Sannata, is nearing the final stages of post production. The film is jointly produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Aanand’s Color Yellow, and features Amala Paul and yesteryear actress Revathy in pivotal roles.

Amma Kanakku is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and has music by maestro Ilaiyaraja. The film is tentatively slated to see the light of day sometime in May.

Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of Thodari, a romance drama with director Prabhu Solomon and Kodi, a political thriller with director Durai Senthil Kumar. While Thodari is gearing up for a summer release, Kodi is slated to hit the screens around Ramzan. He also has two more schedules left for Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thota, which will be completed soon. Dhanush will next start Vetrimaaran’s gangster drama Vada Chennai, followed by his Hollywood debut with French filmmaker Marjane Satrapi in the third quarter of 2016.
