Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited film of the year, Leo, hit the big screens on 19 October globally. While the film is already breaking records at the domestic box office, reports suggest that it has surpassed the collections of Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers of the Flower Moon, which also had its global release last week.
According to Comscore, Leo debuted third on the global box office list. However, Killers of the Flower Moon was released a day later and still secured the first position.
While Leo earned a whopping $48.5 million in its four-day run globally, Killers of the Flower Moon earned only $44 million over the weekend. On the fifth day of its release in India, the Vijay-starrer entered the RS 200-crore club in the domestic market.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo stars Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and Sandy in key roles.
