Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira has turned out to be an average grosser over the weekend.

The film started slow with just Rs 5.15 cr collections on Friday which saw a very slim increase to Rs 5.30 cr on Saturday.

However, things looked up on Sunday as the earnings at the domestic box-office saw a 16% growth on its third day with a Rs 6.20 cr total collection.

This brings the action drama’s weekend total to Rs 16.65 cr. Akira still needs to go strong over the week to be called a bonafide hit though.
