Security Beefed Up As Nicki Minaj’s Wax Statue Gets Groped by Fans

Nicki Minaj’s wax figure gets more security, as fans post inappropriate pictures with the statue.

Slow clap for Madame Tussauds and the 20 highly skilled artists, who failed to see anything wrong with their first ever female rapper wax statue. Nicki Minaj’s wax model, placed on all fours and barely clothed, was unveiled recently. Since then it has been attracting way too much attention in the most inappropriate ways. The statue of the rapper is seen striking a pose from her Anaconda music video.

Men and women have been taking photos of themselves in inappropriate poses with the figure and posting them on social media. The venue has responded by beefing up security around it, to prevent such embarrassments. They’ve even issued a statement after several pictures of the statue being groped and molested were shared. Nicki Minaj’s wax version might even need to be remodelled.

We have been made aware of the inappropriate photograph that was taken at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, involving Nicki Minaj’s new wax figure. Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our visitors are generally respectful towards the wax figure. It is unfortunate that this visitor decided to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence this has caused. We do have staff monitoring guest behavious in the attraction and do our utmost to ensure our wax figures and treated respectfully, but on this ocassion clearly one of our hosts was not present.

We are taking immediate steps to ensure more staff are present in this area and that the set around this particular figure is redesigned so that a picture like this cannot be taken again.
