Priyanka Chopra’s international fame as resulted in her number of Instagram followers shooting through the roof! The actress celebrated crossing 6 million followers on Instagram on Wednesday night with a picture of herself with 6 million on it. Priyanka has raced ahead of Salman Khan with 3.5 million, SRK with 1.2 million and Amitabh Bachchan who has 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Priyanka is currently shooting for the Baywatch movie in the USA, while her TV series Quantico continues its run on the ABC network with a second season having already been greenlit.
Kapoor & Sons had a great first weekend and continued its good run at the box-office through the weekdays as well. Thanks to excellent word of mouth and rave reviews the film stayed strong through Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
Kapoor & Sons directed by Shakun Batra, collected over 5 cr on Monday while the earnings on Tuesday and Wednesday were over 4 cr, helping the film collect a total of Rs 40.28 cr so far. With Holi and Good Friday on Thursday and Friday, the second weekend coming up and no competition at the ticket windows, this Dharma Production looks all set to draw in the moolah over the next few days as well.
Aamir Khan’s 1999 cops and terrorists thriller Sarfarosh will have a sequel. According to a PTI report, the director of Sarfarosh, John Matthew Matthan said that it was Aamir who suggested that a second instalment of the film should be made.
The director also added that the plot of the sequel would revolve around a new issue.
“The sequel will have a different story. We are yet to zero-in on an area around which the plot would revolve,” John said. He added that he would approach Aamir only once he had a script ready.
