The Indian Olympic Association’s decision to make Salman Khan the goodwill brand ambassador for the Rio-bound Olympic contingent came in for a fair amount of backlash. But Salman’s father Salim Khan came to his son’s rescue.
In reply to Milkha Singh’s question as to why we need to “import a person from Bollywood” to be the brand ambassador, Salim tweeted saying that it was Bollywood which resurrected the legendary sprinter from fading away.
The veteran scriptwriter also said that his superstar son may not have competed in the Olympics but is an A-level swimmer, cyclist, and weight-lifter. Check out Salim Khan’s tweets supporting Salman below:
