Ranveer Singh leaves no stone unturned in wooing Deepika Padukone. And at the recent Zee Cine Awards, he won her fans over too!
Ranveer went up on stage to collect the Best Actress award on Deepika’s behalf (for Bajirao Mastani), since she’s away shooting her Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel in Canada. On stage, he didn’t do the talking and the thanking himself. Instead, he got Deepika do that via a brief Facetime session. Ranveer even asked the audience to wave out to Deepika. How thoughtful is that!
After thanking her fans and Zee Cine Awards for the honour, she spoke excitedly to Karan Johar and Subhash Ghai, who were also up on stage. Sadly, Ranveer lost her midway through the conversation because of a bad signal. But Karan Johar made up with his remark “Technology, kaya baat hai! Ishq aur awards, dono hi le jaata hai.”
Ranveer, as sweet as your gestures are, you do know that you’re raising the bar too high for men out there, right?
