South India’s biggest superstar Rajinikanth has landed himself in a fresh controversy. Talking at the annual anniversary celebrations of his late friend Cho Ramasamy’s Tughlaq magazine, Rajini had said “There is an unusual political situation prevails in the country and I personally feel Cho Ramasamy should’ve been with us now”.

Point to be noted here is that Rajinikanth has carefully used the word ‘country’ and he didn’t mention ‘Tamil Nadu’ but his speech has already raised a furore in political circles.

Leading Tamil actor and politician Sarath Kumar said, “Rajinikanth is my friend, he is a big superstar and good human being but we can’t consider his opinion seriously”.

He vehemently added, “Rajinikanth will open his mouth whenever convenient. Only a person, who works for the State and respects Tamil culture is eligible to talk about things happening here”.

Sarath Kumar also accused that Rajinikanth is known for his contradictory opinions in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. For a long time, politicians and actors had targeted Rajinikanth for his Kannadiga origins and Sarath Kumar is not an exception.

Sarath is a pro-ADMK politician and perhaps, he got offended by Rajinikanth’s remarks on the unusual political situation targeting things that are happening after the demise of Jayalalithaa.

Sarath Kumar also lashed out at Rajinikanth, saying, “Tamil Nadu should be only ruled by a Tamilian. If Rajinikanth starts a political party, I will be the first one to oppose him”.
