Priyanka Chopra has added her two bits to the intolerance debate. The actress recently said that people are entitled to their opinion but in the last few years, one is being “bashed” for expressing their point of view. According to a report by PTI, when quizzed about the criticism that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan went through for their views on ‘intolerance’ recently, the actress said:

It is not just about this. I think everyone has an opinion about it. We are supposed to be the greatest democracy in the world. There have been many incidents that have happened in the last few years where people have been bashed for giving their opinions. Everybody has an opinion. We are in a democracy. Our forefathers fought for freedom of speech and being Indian.

2. Aamir is “Innocent” Says Rajkumar Hirani

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani has come out in support of Aamir Khan, calling his recent remarks on the “growing intolerance” in the country, as “innocent”.

Aamir Khan didn’t call for a press conference. He was at an award function where he was asked questions on various topics and one of the topics was this which he answered and his answer was – I was distressed and sad that my wife once said this to me. To me it is an innocent answer. He spoke about what was said inside his home affairs in public and one should have ignored it. But the way people jumped and attacked him, intolerance was visible.

5. Rishi Kapoor Wants Juhi Chawla Arrested

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor recently had the cutest tweet for Juhi Chawla. Rishi and Juhi were one of the most popular on-screen couples in the late 80s and early 90s, having worked in films like Bol Radha Bol, Eena Meena Deeka, Daraar and more recently Luck By Chance. The actors obviously still share a wonderful relationship with each other and Kapoor tweeted this picture of Juhi surrounded by cops with the message, “At last they got her. Aur karo duniya ko pareshaan.”
