1. ‘Pad Man’ Banned in Pakistan, Is ‘Padmaavat’ Responsible?

The Pakistan censor board, in all its wisdom, has banned R Balki’s film, based on menstruation, Pad Man and prevented its release in Pakistan.

They accuse the film of “ruining Islamic traditions, history and culture,” and that too without seeing the film.

Deeply disturbed and angered, Balki who is currently in scenic Maheshwari, the city in Madhya Pradesh where Pad Man was shot, says it is shame that a film that endeavours to eradicate the stigma towards menstrual hygiene is being seen in this negative light.

2. Don’t Remember Showing Attitude: Sonam Kapoor Tells Sonakshi

Actress Sonam Kapoor says she has always been warm towards Sonakshi Sinha, who had recently spoken out how the Neerja star had once shown her a "lot of attitude".

On an episode of TV show BFFs with Vogue, Sonakshi was asked about her views on Sonam. She had said: “Once Sonam showed me a lot of attitude and I think that was kind of unnecessary.”

On Saturday, Sonam reacted to it and apologised if she ever made Sonakshi feel so.

3. Box-office: Akshay’s ‘PadMan’ Earns Rs 23.94 Crore in Two Days

After a decent opening, Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan has raked in Rs 23.94 crore at the end of the second day of its release. Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted the business figures signalling its rapid stride.
