Viral videos are as under-understood as viruses themselves. Is it the music? The simplicity (or idiocy) of the dance? Is it the fashion? No one knows. The song itself could help you ponder on the vicissitudes of human sensibilities. In other words, how does a song as sucky as this one – Piko Taro’s PPAP Song – get nearly 70 million hits? AND enter the Guinness World Records as the shortest song to break into the Billboard Hot 100?! You could learn a lot from the song.

So we at The Quint did what any rational team would do with said video. We made a Carnatic Bhajan version of it. Call it our own personal cover.
