Om Swami has crossed the line, even by the low standards of Bigg Boss. In his fight for captaincy, Swami’s brain gave up on him once again, and he ended up throwing his pee on fellow inmates Bani and Rohan in a fit of rage, or god knows what emotion. This has got to be Indian television’s lowest point so far. Swami did get evicted for his behaviour, but he did get me thinking- what the f*ck are we watching?
It’s worth noting that Bani and Rohan never quite got along with Om Swami. Which was fine till a point. But then he molested Lopa, strangled Rohan and wished death upon Bani’s mother.
If the throw-soft-balls-at-a-stack-of-tissue-rolls was not a dumb enough idea for a captaincy task to begin with, Om Swami peeing in a bowl and flinging it on others is the other extreme altogether. There’s no doubt that Swami’s eviction was by far the most awaited one. The nonsense that the self-proclaimed ‘god man’ has put the inmates through is akin to hate crimes. I must ask this- Why did it take this long for Bigg Boss to throw him out? Is this what the creators of the show will stoop to, just to garner TRPs? In the span of one season, the show seems to have gone from tacky to straight, and now it’s simply revolting. To be honest, we’re as much to blame, because some of us probably still find this crass content entertaining.
Well, for all that goes on in the Bigg Boss house, Om Swami’s eviction is probably the best thing to have happened so far. The only thing that had made it worth it, is the revelation about what ‘god-men’ could really be like. Thanks for that Bigg Boss.
