As you rush to the theatres to catch Neerja this weekend, here’s a blast from the past. This photograph of Pan Am India Class was taken in Jan 1986, on graduation day at the Miami International Airport. Neerja Bhanot, who became Head Purser and lost her life on Pan Am 73’s attempted hijacking, can be seen at the far right in the last row.

Talking of graduation, Sonam Kapoor, who plays the fearless Neerja Bhanot in the real life drama, caught up with Neerja’s classmates from Bombay Scottish High School in Mumbai. They loved the film so much that they made the actress an honorary classmate, of the batch of ‘78.
