Sony Music has come together with the National Institute of Design (NID) to visualise Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and AR Rahman’s euphoric song Gurus of Peace. The track was first released as a part of Rahman’s Vande Mataram album in 1997.

The latest animated video is a gift for fans of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whose birth anniversary falls on October 13. The video has been made with a 2D digital hand-drawn technique, with each frame being hand drawn using a tablet, roughly amounting to over 3000 frames. The music video was created as a 6 month graduation project by Ms Shanthala Setty, a student at NID Ahmedabad under the guidance of Professor Sekhar Mukherjee, Head Animation Faculty.

Gurus of Peace was the last song recorded by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the song did not have a video till now.
