After ‘Ghungroo’, the second song from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s upcoming film War has released. Titled ‘Jai Jai Shivshankar’, the catchy track has been composed by Vishal Shekhar and performed by Vishal Dadlani and Benny Dayal. The colourful video sees both actors pull off some nimble dance moves on a larger-than-life sized set of drums before coming together with Tiger matching Hrithik step for step.
Touted to be an action blockbuster, War tells the story of an Indian soldier, Khalid (Tiger), who is assigned to eliminate a senior agent and his mentor Kabir (Hrithik) as he has gone rogue.
Speaking about his role in the film, Hrithik told Filmfare that he had been waiting for film like this ever since the release of Bang Bang. When I read the script of War, I was extremely charged because I knew that this is it – finally a film in which I’d be able to do the things I want to do,” he said. In an interview with PTI, director Siddharth Anand, who worked with Hrithik on 2014 action film Bang Bang!, said he wrote the two lead parts keeping in mind both him and Tiger Shroff. “The first choice was Hrithik because we share a great equation. Post Bang Bang!, I've been writing something for him. Fortunately for me, he loved the script. I knew, if Hrithik is in the film, the protege can be no one else but Tiger,” he said.
War also stars Vani Kapoor and releases in theatres on 2 October.
