Lady Gaga won three Grammys on Sunday night 10 February at the 2019 awards ceremony in LA. She got emotional picking up her trophy for best pop/group performance which she received for “Shallow”, her duet with Bradley Cooper from the film A Star Is Born. She beat Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato for “Fall in Line,” Backstreet Boys for “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” Tony Bennett and Diana Krall for “S Wonderful” and Maroon 5 and Cardi B for “Girls Like You.”
Almost breaking out in tears, Gaga talked about the importance of addressing mental health issues.
The other prizes Gaga took home were best song for visual media for “Shallow” and best pop vocal performance for “Joanne” before the show. Meanwhile, Cooper took home the BAFTA for best original music for A Star Is Born, also on Sunday night.
