Baaghi 2 seems hellbent on remaking songs. After decimating the Labh Janjua classic, Mundiyan (Punjabi MC’s anthem in the 90s), the makers of the Tiger Shroff-Dishan Patani film have released another 90s classic. It’s Ek Do Teen from Tezaab, the one where Madhuri Dixit basically defined a ‘thumka’. The remake features Jacqueline Fernandez in a sizzling avatar.
Have a look at it here:
The YouTube comment section of the song is full of praises for Jacqueline’s moves and one thing is certain - the song will certainly be played at most parties. Jackie matches the tempo of the song with her well-timed moves and toned body, and makes it quirky to watch, thanks to her expressions. We even see Prateik Babbar bust a move in the song with a flower.
While the original was sung by Alka Yagnik, the makers of Baaghi 2 decided that they needed a different voice to it, thus bringing Shreya Ghoshal into the mix. The song does seem lees nasal than the original, so all in all, it works.
If you need to refresh your memory of the original song, feast your eyes and ears on the iconic Ek Do Teen from Tezaab.
Baaghi 2 is an action film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. A Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment production, presented by Fox Star Studios, the movie stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles. The movie is set to release on 30 March 2018.
