Dilip Kumar needs no introduction to lovers of Indian cinema. Born Muhammad Yusuf Khan on 22 December 1922, he went on to become a legend on the silver screen. Dubbed as the “tragedy king”, Dilip Kumar worked in numerous films over six decades and reigned as a superstar alongside Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand. He holds the Guinness World Record for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor.

Dilip Kumar pioneered method acting in Bollywood and delivered blockbusters like Babul (1950), Daag (1952), Insaniyat (1955), Devdas (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Yahudi (1958), Madhumati (1958), Aan (1952), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), and Shakti (1982), to name just a few.

And he gave us many memorable songs as well. Tune right in!
