Anushka Sharma is giving us the creeps.
And that’s exactly the intention. The trailer of the blood-curling Pari: Not a Fairy taleis out. And it’s everything that’s been missing from the horror genre in mainstream Bollywood.
Alternating between two personas, one of which is positively horrifying, the trailer of Pari shows a woman possessed by an evil spirit.
Pari also stars Parambrata Chatterjee, who takes Anushka into her home, unknowingly invites havoc into his life. And everything that transpired after it is, anything but a fairy tale.
Gone are the days when making an ad was serious business. You huddled together with creative professionals brainstorming about the right visuals, the right catch-line and not to mention the right cast and crew who could pull off with elan an ad to resonate with the masses. These days, you just latch on to the latest internet sensation.
Take Priya Prakash Varrier for instance. The Malayalam actor, who has been catapulted to dizzying heights of popularity, has also overnight become the face of a couple of big brands on social media. Thanks to her expressions in the Oru Adaar Love song Manikya Malaraya Poovi, the 18-year-old didn’t have to wait for her film to release to become a celebrity, or wait to actually shoot for an ad. All she had to do was what every teenager does these days: shoot herself on the phone and post it on social media. Only this time, she talked about or got photographed with particular brands.
Check out her endorsement for a mobile phone here pitched for Valentine’s Day:

It was with great difficulty that Sushant Singh Rajput had patched up with his Kai Po Che director, Abhishek Kapoor. But now it seems things are again pretty rough between the two.
To go back a bit, it was Abhishek Kapoor who had launched Sushant’s film career in Kai Po Che. They were friends until Abhishek Kapoor offered Sushant another film - Fitoor. Sushant had to “regrettably” turn it down as he was busy prepping for Shekhar Kapur’s Paani. It is another matter that Paani never happened and Fitoor, which Abhishek Kapoor directed with Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead, flopped miserably.
