Kaccha Limbu, a path-breaking Marathi film is all the rage in regional theatres all across Maharashtra. Released on 11 August, the movie is directed by Prasad Oak and features Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Manmeet Pem and Ravi Jadhav as lead characters. The dark film is based on the highly acclaimed novel, Runanubandh by Jaywant Dalvi.

Below are the reviews from various papers for Kaccha Limbu.

Although the film is dark, it is not weepy — the strong characterisation ensures that it does not turn into that. The film’s characters look upon their lives as a struggle, and though dealt with a weak hand, they show no signs of giving up.

‘Kachha Limbu’ has an ‘A’ certificate, so that justifies why certain audiences should stay away from this film, having said that it still doesn’t disqualify as a family movie. Yes it’s one mighty impactful experience that breaks almost all borders of boldness that were present in our film, but not for the sake of it! It justifies by telling us what exactly lies beyond the boldness, and that is something essentially humane.
